Michelle is the Director of Community & Events for the Specialty Coffee Association of America, one of her main roles has been to coordinate all the Barista Championships under the SCAA umbrella for USA including the grand daddy United States Barista Championship (USBC). She joined the SCAA in 2002 as Programs Coordinator and has been a driving force in the coordination of the Barista Championships in the United States for the past few years under the auspices of SCAA. She is also the staff liason to the Barista Guild of America (BGA), as well as to the United States Barista Championship (USBC) Committee. Through these roles she produces the SCAA’s United States Barista Championship as well as 10 regional barista competitions annually. Michelle is also the Event Manager for the World Barista Championship (WBC).
