Who is John Doyle?

 

John Doyle, the author, has spent a number of years researching the art of espresso coffee making. Barista Techniques published by Coffee Training Centre (Australia), has over 200 pages covering all that you will ever need to know about the 'art of espresso'. John is a member of Cafe Biz Network and the Australian Sommeliers Association (ASA). He is also a contributor to Cafe Culture magazine, and an accredited barista competition judge.

He is an industry educator and has expert knowledge of both the coffee and wine industries. As the Director of the Coffee Training Centre, he has two websites http://www.coffeetraining.com and http://www.baristatraining.com

He recently opened a 'private' barista training facility at Sandringham, NSW. It is equiped with a commercial two group espresso machine and two grinders (conical & burr). On offer are a range of barista training courses from the basic to the advanced. Training is very much 'hands on' and is suitable for one or two students. They offer courses for those seeking TAFE Assessment.

In 2008 he became the Treasurer for the AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association at http://www.aasca.com, he was also a Judge in the Australian Barista Championships.
