MyBrazilianCoffee.com

MyBrazilianCoffee.com which was born from the idea of two good friends: Eliane Sobral and Fernanda Mazzuco, both Brazilians, living in New York and coffee lovers. Alberto Machado joined them in the business and became their coffee hunter since he resides in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

I had the opportunity to sample some coffees from this fairly new coffee company. The Joy Brazil Platinum was one of my personal favorites it is a rich coffee, full bodied, very smooth with chocolate finish.

Eliane and Fernanda had been living in New York for a few years and despite their love for the city they always found it hard to find good gourmet coffee from Brazil. After searching for it in various retail stores without great success they decided to go into business; and having Alberto in Brazil made things much easier.

Eliane Sobral was a senior retail executive with brands like Victoria Secret, Express, Levis and Ann Taylor, where she had the opportunity to travel and do business around the world. She has been living in Manhattan for the last 4 years. It is there that she started to explore her passion for the arts and the science of coffee making.

Fernanda Mazzuco has been in the coffee business for more than 10 years. She was a senior marketing executive for a leading coffee company in Brazil, where she was instrumental in developing their export strategy. She was pioneer in introducing the barista championship in Brazil and a founder of its Barista Championship Association, ACBB.

Alberto Machado is a trained architect who rediscovered a family tradition. His great grandfather was one of the most important coffee producers in Brazil in the beginning of the 1900’s. He has become a versed cupper and his passion for coffee takes him around the country to supply MyBrazilianCoffee.com with the best coffee Brazil has to offer.
