Cafe Sante Veritas, 480 St. Laurent, Montreal

I have been here a few times and I find it very relaxing. The decor is minimal with calming images rotating on the wall screens. You will not be bombarded by sports or newscasts here. The food is flavorful (sandwiches, salads) and the little garlic table decorations are adorable. Ask for your coffee loyalty card and do not rush away.

All of the food is natural (if not organic), freshly prepared, and delivered to the table. Meats are grilled instead of sautéed or fried. Smoothies are sweetened with honey and the natural sugars of fruit juice.

They don’t do the flavored coffee thing, but I was able to get a mocha. This is an incredibly smooth coffee with a rich flavor and a pretty leaf design in the foam.
