Online Coffee Company, 1404 East Pine Street, Seattle
Fruit scones, cinnamon rolls, oat bars, trail cookies, croissants, muffins, lemon pound cake and streusel coffee cake are just a few of the tasties. Online Coffee Company (www.onlinecoffeeco.com) also serves coffees and teas, to stay and to go, as well as beer and wine. The freshly ground micro roasted coffee, --decaf, drip, espresso blend-- costing $9.95 per 1 lb bag forms an attractive display. In front of the coffee bar, inside the glass fridge, the Odwalla Drinks, --Red Rhapsody, Mango Tango and Strawberry Banana fruit smoothie blends, and Chocolate and Vanilla super protein shakes—gives customers another way to sate their insatiable thirst for more energy. If you decide to visit Online you'll get a good look at a rapidly emerging café trend, ceiling décor, which here includes out in the open power cables, naked heating ducts and vents, and exposed plastic and galvanized pipes. Mostly in their 20's and 30's, Online patrons appear to have a fondness for layered bobs, Caesar cuts and braided pigtails. They also favor flashy eye frames and skin tight chinos, rolled or scissored above the knee. Online's oak tables and chairs, the sturdy library kind, though nice to look at, are too long, wide and cold for intimate tête-à-têtes. The twin station computer desks, accompanied by soft black leather chairs on rollers, provide comfort and privacy. All house computers (first ½ hour is free w/purchase of beverage) have Excel and PowerPoint, multiple USB ports, flat monitors, digital camera access, dvd burning and scanning.
