Gene Cafe, 2404 Main Street, Vancouver
The coolest
thing about this café is the massive all around windows and the all white
interior and great coffee. The menu offerings are minimal and for now its cash
only, for something different try the “Ginger Cocoa” or a “Hemp Milk N Banana
Smoothie”, have some eats such as the “Organic Grilled Cheese”. The café is
shaped like a triangle offering up great views for people watching outside and
in, and its pretty much the gateway into the Soma/Mt Pleasant neighborhood.
This neighborhood is sprawling with new condo towers, restaurants and
boutiques. Inside the seating includes short white stools and blue plastic
chairs that will bring you back to your elementary school days. This is an all around great place to hang. Ask them what "The Polish Pillow" is or be adventurous and order it.
