The Economy Shoe Shop Cafe, Argyle St, Halifax

The Economy Shoe Shop is a restaurant as well as cafe and is located on Argyle St in the downtown area, one block away from the central area of Barrington St and Grand Parade. 

For those that are interested in art and art galleries there is an added appeal, the Shoe Shop currently has paintings on display by different local artists and this in itself makes the visit worthwile.  The art work combined with great music makes the atmosphere calm and inviting.

The service overall  is attentive and friendly.  The lunch menu has some good choices if you are after something to eat and caters for vegetarians and gluten free diets as well.

The wooden carved furniture and seating also adds to the overal dining/coffee experience, even if you are alone just relaxing or with friends.

For those wanting something unique and to get away from chain style coffee shops, this is a fantastic option and the quality of the coffee is actually better.
