Newbreak Coffee Co., an institution in the Ocean Beach neighborhood serves Gillies and Peerless Coffee as well as fruit smoothies to local Obecians. Sitting across from the OB boardwalk, enjoy an amazing view of beachgoers, surfers and beach bums alike while you sip your cup of Joe. Serving up gourmet sandwiches, fresh bagels with signature spreads (Try the pesto spread!) and fresh fruit smoothies, this café really has it all. Cozy up to a game of chess, hang out by the fire and take advantage of this great neighborhood café with an even better ocean view.

The café boasts a menu with decently priced coffee drinks, a variety of sandwiches, and breakfast items all made to order. The café also has great vegetarian options and an impressive selection of teas for the tasting. Muffin and bagel specials with coffee are available everyday for $2.78. Watch out for resident birds that hunt for your crumbs!

Don't need the view, but still want great coffee and grub? Newbreak Coffee Co. has a second, smaller location at 1830 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., about half a mile away. Too crowded, but still hungry for a tasty breakfast burrito and a Mexican Mocha? Don't fret, call ahead...Newbreak delivers!

Students: If you're looking for a place to study, don't come here on a Sunday morning. The brunch crowd can be overwhelming, and not many seats are for the taking.
