Apres Diem, 931 Monroe Drive, Suite C-103, Atlanta

Located adjacent to the Landmark Arts Theatre in Virginia Highlands, Apres Diem feels like a little slice of Europe. Everything from the menu - which includes mostly Mediterranean-inspired dishes like Salad Fattoush and Hummus platters - to the plush couches and nude paintings create a distinctly European ambiance. The café is dimly lit from day until late late night, candles illuminating the faces of trendy Atlanta couples out for a romantic post-movie dessert and drinks. With an extensive list of wines, sherries, dessert liquers, and specialty martinis, Apres Diem is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the night and enjoy a sexy spot of Europe in the middle of the Southern capital. While the ambiance is the main draw and the food is underwhelming at best, Apres Diem does off a brunch menu on the weekends that rivals any authentic Europen café. One might be tempted to come in for a late apertif on Saturday and relax on the candlelit patio until brunch was served!
